Ware 0 Kings Langley 3
Performance gives new management team something to ponder.
Ware were reinstated in the Herts FA Senior Cup despite a 3-0 home defeat in the previous round of the competition after Welwyn Garden City fielded an ineligible player. On the face of it things weren't any better this time round as Ware suffered another 3-0 home defeat which will give new manager John Dreyer something to think about.
But there's usually more to these things than mere score lines. The previous round saw Ware well beaten by a Step 5 side whilst this time they put on a good effort against one from Step 3. Two early goals were enough for Kings Langley and though Ware worked hard in the second half they didn't get the rub of the green. An unfortunate third goal, scored by former Ware man Gareth Price, put a heavier slant on the score than seemed deserved.
Langley go on to a semi-final away to with Hitchin or Boreham Wood whilst John Dreyer will go away to ponder perhaps how to stop Ware leaking goals so easily.
