Both sides had early chances with Thurrock’s Dan Okah shooting wide from outside the box and a good move involving Ware’s Alaa Oujdi, Albert Adu, Samir Hadi and Ryan Wade whose cross was hit wide by Marcus Milner. Thurrock came back with Brad Warner being put through and hit high and wide of goal.

The game continued to flow with Ware being the more dominant throughout the half with Lee White, a rejuvenated Kazim Bishop and Ajet Shehu commanding in defence up front the forwards were busy always looked dangerous when attacking, Kieran Bishop robbed a defender outside the box and his cross was saved by the keeper Andy walker.

Another cross from Ryan Wade was headed wide by Marcus Mliner, a further header was headed wide by Kieran Bishop after some good work by Albert Adu and Alaa Oujdi, chances were coming at a regular pace and Andy Walker was outstanding in the Thurrock goal pulling off some great saves.

In comparison Rhys Madden in the Ware goal had a relatively quiet half and was pedestrian for most of the time with hardly a save to make but always kept his concentration.

Kieran Bishop then should have given ware the lead when he was put through with a one on one with keeper and hit a powerful shot that the keeper saved and pushed away to safety and then a Alaa Oujdi cross into the box was met again by Kieran Bishop and his point blank shot was hit at the keeper and he did well to parry the shot and clear to safety.

On the stroke of half time Albert Adu gave Ware the lead when he met a Ryan Wade corner and slotted the ball home inside the box in the 45th minute.

Half-time score: Ware FC 1-0 Thurrock FC.

Ware started the half with Alaa Oujdi, Marcus Milner and Albert Adu combining well with the latter crossing to Ryan Wade who put his header wide, Thurrock then had a chance through Lewis Clark who shot just over the bar.

Another Thurrock chance fell to Lewwis Spence when in a goal mouth scramble he hit his shot over the bar, a move involving Kazim Bishop and Kieran Bishop saw the latter pass to Albert Adu and he shot wide.

Ware continued to press but Thurrock were beginning to exploit the gaps being left at the back of the Ware defence and put Ware under some pressure towards the end of the game and a last ditch tackle inside the box by skipper Lee White prevented Thurrock from getting a shot on target.

Ware rode the storm and came back themselves with a shot being saved by the keeper from Marcus Milner with Albert Adu providing the through ball.

Finally a free kick by Ryan Wade to Marcus Milner again saw the keeper make another fine save, the last five minutes of added time saw Ware being put under pressure with one or two players now tiring but held out comfortably for a well-deserved win. .
