Ware produced their best display of the season so far with some excellent free flowing football and were far superior to their opponents Cray Wanderers.
Ware though suffered a setback in as little as the 40th second into the game when Rhys Madden brought down Ian Daly and was awarded a penalty, Centre Forward Shaun Welford comfortably converted the spot kick to give Cray Wanderers a 1-0 lead.
Ware then soon pulled themselves together and a chance fell to Kieran Bishop who shot wide from an angle and then in the 11th minute Ware were on level terms when a Bafode Carvalho run and cut in from the wing saw his shot deflect off a defender and loop over keeper Nick Taylor and into the net to level the score at 1-1.
Other chances fell to Kieran Bishop who received a back heeled pass from Albert Adu and is shot was saved by the keeper, Marcus Milner was then put through by Ryan Hervel but he shot straight at the keeper, Albert Adu shot wide when in a good position.
Ware should have been out of sight by the end of the first half, on another day Kieran Bishop may have had a first half hat trick but for a mixture of good saves and poor finishing and on one occasion unluckily had a bicycle kick from inside the box just sail wide of the post.
The final play of the first half saw a Murat Karagul winning tackle prevent a counter attack from the Cray Wanderers midfield.
Half Time: 1-1
At the start of the first half Cray Wanderers Shaun Walford had the ball in the Ware net but was ruled off side before his strike, Ware then took the lead in the 48th minute when Albert Adu’s run and shot from 20 yards screamed into the top left hand corner of the net to give ware a 2-1 lead.
Three minutes later in the 51st minute Ware increased their lead and put the game beyond Cray Wanderers when Ware captain Lee White bundled the ball home in a crowded box to extend their lead 3-1, then Cray Wanderers were reduced to ten men when Shaun Welford was sent off for disputing the goal.
Ware had further chances through Charlie Ledula from a Martin Milner pass and saw his shot blocked, Cray then hit back with a Steve Springett free kick that was headed wide.
Then in the seventy sixth minute Ware’s Charlie Ledula and Albert Adu were sent off and Cray Wanderers Dmitri Larin was sent off for an off the ball incident and both sides were reduced to nine men.
