Ware 1 Biggleswade United 1
Ware stay unbeaten after close contest as Kamanan scores again.
Gareth Madden made his first appearance for the club since December 2014 and Prince Madu got his first start as Ware took on the Spartan South Midlands side. There was still no Josh Oyibo but Ryan Hervel was back after missing Saturday with that day's hero Ahmed Mohammed having to sit and wait on the subs bench.
Early play saw Marvin Hamilton put the ball in the net after Yannick Kamanan's shot was beaten away but the assistant judged it was offside. A minute later it was Hamilton who teed up Kamanan for a shot from 20 yards and this time there was no flag to deny Ware the lead.
Five minutes later and Kamanan was at it again but this time his shot was turned round the post for a corner that Lee White almost converted but his effort was saved.
It was not all Ware though and after 15 minutes Tom Coulton was brought into action with a smart save after the visitors found a way through the Ware defence. But back at the other end Ryan Hervel was close with a free kick and on the half hour Marcus Milner tested the visitors as he crossed from the right to Kamanan who shot narrowly wide.
It was 1-1 shortly after the restart as the Ware defence failed to get a grip on a marauding attacker who went past several tackles before firing past Coulton. Seven minutes later Murat Karagul evaded tackles at the other end but his shot was saved by the sprawling keeper.
The final quarter of the game saw the visitors strike a post from a free kick but with 15 minutes left Ware had their own chance as a throw gave Kamanan another chance but this time his shot was easily gathered by the keeper.
The game now was going from end to end and Coulton was again in action tipping the ball over the bar with an acrobatic leap. Neither side was destined to get a winner however with Ware at least happy to have kept their unbeaten record in the pre-season games with their 850th draw since 1892.
There's another game this Saturday when Erith & Belvedere are the visitors but the competitive stuff starts in a week's time with the visit of Hemel Hempstead in the Herts Charity Cup.
