Provisional constitution of Isthmian Div 1 North

5 months ago By Stephen King

The make up of Ware's divison next season awaits confirmation at the league AGM and could still be influenced by the possible demise of other clubs.

The North division in 2017/8 sees the return of old opponents in the shape of AFC Sudbury, Canvey Island and Grays Athletic all relegated from the Premier Division; and Potters Bar Town on lateral transfer from the Southern League.

New to the division are Barking (promoted from the Essex Senior League), London Colney (champions of the Spartan South Midlands League) and Mildenhall Town from the Eastern Counties League. Of these only Barking have been league opponents before although London Colney have figured in eleven previous cup and friendly encounters and Mildenhall beat us 5-0 in the FA Vase back in 2004.

In addition to those sides promoted and relegated out of the division the three Kent sides (Phoenix Sports, VCD Athletic and Thamesmead Town) have been transferred to the South division, doubtless to their relief.

A map of next season's league opponents can be found here. This map will be updated with cup opponents as they become known.
