This date in 1950 saw a 5-1 win at Stansted in the Spartan League Division One with two each from Goodey and Aitken and the other from Alf Cliss. We finished 7th out of 14 at the end of the season.
In 2006 we were in the Isthmian League Division One (North) and turned Witham over on their own ground by 4-1. The goals came from Steve Horsey (with two), Chris Ellerbeck and a penalty from Daniel Bradford who became one of our youngest scorers at 16 years and 289 days.
It was 4-1 again in 2008 as Bishop's Stortford were beaten at Wodson Park in a Herts Senior Cup Round 2 game. Laurie Stewart, Danny Gudgeon, John Frendo and Michael Bardle were the scorers but the run of success that these players had been part of was to come to an end with manager Glen Alzapiedi resigning after the match.
