In 1902 we won 5-0 away to Hoddesdon Town in the East Herts League Division One to which we had returned after two years of friendlies and cup games.
It was the second of three meetings between the two clubs that season with Ware already having won 6-0 in the Senior Cup and later to win the return league game 3-0. Those results were just as well because come the end of the season Ware were champions with Hoddesdon second just three points behind. As sometimes happened in this period the scorers from the game in question were not recorded in the Herts Mercury.
Come 2014 and the opponents on this date were Maldon & Tiptree who left Wodson Park after a 4-0 defeat. Kieran Bishop with two, Ryan Wade and Khale DaCosta were our scorers in what remains our most recent win over the Jammers. After a season in the Southern League we returned to Ryman action last season and lost both games plus an FA Cup meeting against them.
