The best way to keep up to date with Ware FC

Advent Calendar - December 17th

6 months ago By Stephen King

Seven up, twice!

1983 brought a 7-0 home win on this date with Eastbourne United going down to strikes from Gary Riddle and Peter Twigg and five from Neil Prosser. It was the last time a Ware player has scored five in one game. Neil went on to make a handful of appearances for both Bournemouth and Tranmere Rovers in the Football League.

We did it again in 2005 when Epsom & Ewell went down 7-0 at Wodson Park. No five-goal haul this time but John Frendo scored four and Bradley Stamp got a hat trick including one from the penalty spot.

Where next?

Advent Calendar - December 18th Amateur Cup success becomes almost commonplace.
Today's match at Soham postponed. Another frozen pitch, another blank Saturday and another midweek game to fit in.
