Last season's 6-2 home win over Berkhamsted is pretty much our best performance on this date and included a hat trick for Murat Karagul. However it doesn't outweigh the 6-0 friendly defeat at Craven Cottage against Fulham 'A' in 1947.
Five years after that we returned to the FA Amateur Cup competition proper following a gap of 43 years. Our 3-2 defeat away to Dulwich Hamlet in the first round was watched by 6,000 including a good number of Ware supporters. Ron Wilkinson and Mo Hibbert scored for Ware.
Our first match on this date came in 1902, as much as ten years on from our founding, and saw a 4-0 home win over Hertford Rovers in the East Herts League, a competition we went on to win.
